Projects at the Homann Farm
The Homann Farm is Home to Projects at the intersection of Nature, Craftsmanship, Digitalisation and Community.
We see the Farm as a place of Learning and Collaboration, where traditional Knowledge and modern Technologies are combined.
Whether in the development of Regenerative Landscapes, in craft-based educational programmes or in digital Experimental Fields, every Project contributes to making our Environment vibrant, sustainable and tangible.
Open Food Network
We Operate the German-language version of the Open Food Network, an Open Source Trading Platform that makes it easy for Consumers to Source Food from their Region and Supports Food Producers in Selling their Products digitally. The Open Food Network is currently active in 28 Countries worldwide.
Rental bar
The Rental-Bar is a Library of Things. Here you can Borrow everyday and not-so-everyday Items, so you don't have to buy as much.
Agricultural Land in Germany
Agricultural Land in Germany store around 2.4 Billion Tonnes of Carbon in the Form of Humus. By using Specific Soil Cultivation Methods, Crop Rotations and Undersowing, Farmers can specifically build up Humus, thereby increasing the Fertility of their Soils and Simultaneously extracting CO2 from the Atmosphere.
Together with Scientists and the district of Steinfurt, we are working on Establishing Incentive Systems and Disseminating knowledge for targeted Humus Formation.

Orchard Meadow Project
Together with the Steinfurt District Nature Conservation Foundation, we have transformed a Former field covering around two Hectares into a Vibrant Orchard Meadow.
Today, 115 Apple Trees and several Pear Trees grow here, mainly old regional Varieties that we have deliberately selected to promote diversity and resilience.
The Area is complemented by a Hedge, which creates new Habitats for Insects, Birds and small Animals.
This gradually creates a multi-layered Ecosystem that connects Landscape, Agriculture and Community – a Place that evolves and is nurtured in tune with the Rhythm of the Seasons.

The aim is to strengthen natural Cycles, Preserve Soil and Biodiversity, and at the same time Create Space for Education and Encounters.
REVIREKU sees itself as an independent, practice-oriented Association that combines regenerative Landscape conservation with long-term Thinking and entrepreneurial Responsibility.

Carpentry Workshops – Experience Craftsmanship
In our Carpentry Workshops, Participants can implement their own Projects under the Guidance of our Master Carpenter and specifically deepen their craftsmanship Skills.
The Courses take place in the inspiring Surroundings of Hof Homann and combine practical Work with conscious use of Materials and Learning through Experience.
The Plan is to also offer the Formats as Educational Leave, to give People Space to try New things, expand their craft Skills and get to know wood as a Material in their own unique Way.
